I have a friend who knocked up a home karaoke system with bits of this and bits of that but he gets terrible feedback at higher volumes. Its what cheap stuff does for you.

I agree about the Shure SM58's being quality but since the op wanted something cheap I would agree with the Samson Q7.
If the op can afford a little more then any of the Sennheiser range would be slightly better.
