J Geils Jr - dies

The founder and singer of the J Geils Band has died, aged 71.
More of a one hit wonder here in the UK but his Centerfold hit will always be remembered.
That song got to number 3 in the UK but topped the charts in America, Canada and Australia.
They also sang many others including Freeze Frame and Love Stinks etc.
The band's genre bridged the gap between disco and new wave and they made 11 albums in total.
Geils died of natural causes.
