Green Screen Karaoke

My buddy does Karaoke at a local bar and I help him with the tech side (computer/sound/etc.). We have been bouncing around ideas to help set him apart from everyone else. I remembered in the past there was a green screen karaoke type of thing that was supposed to be the next big thing of putting the singer with "band/background". Is this still happening ? Are there green screen karaoke tracks out there ? If there are enough tracks to make it worthwhile I think it would be a hit out here in the "boonies". Any help would be appreciated. The only other idea we had was to have a Karaoke competition. No one else around here is doing it.
