Karma Problem

Post: # 5Post Boom Box »

Hey all hows tricks?
Got a problem here.
I got the Latshaw Karma package around 2012/13 but never used it.
However, yesterday I attempted to install it and tried many times without success.
When I bought it I had two PC's. One with Windows XP and the other with Vista.
I now have only Windows 7 on a laptop.
Every time I try installing it I get a message it needs Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable.
Then it says some files are moved or don't exist or words to that effect.
The thing is I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable already on the machine as I can see when I look in the CCleaner program.
Any suggestions?

I am sure I met with this problem before.
I did get it to work but can I heck remember what I done.
I think downloaded the redistributable file from Microsoft and installed that first then installed Karma.
Karma will work also on Windows 7 so don't worry about that.

I have Karma and I am sure the program is still called Karma but the name of the company has changed from Latshaw to Karaosoft.
Its a cracking little program so I hope you sort it out.

Did the OP sort this problem out?
Its nice to hear when problems are sorted and it gives others a chance to learn from others.
Karaoke is my life.

Actually I had loads of problems installing Karma in the past but lately it has been installing a lot smoother.
I had all those messages involving the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable as well.
It was always hit and miss for me but as I say when I install it now it seems ok.
Give me some beer

Hi Slinky.
Yes, I did sort out the problem with the Karma Karaoke program. I deleted the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable and reinstalled it and deleted all things with Karma. I then ran the Ccleaner's registry cleaner. Then I installed Karma again. Whatever it was that prevented the program from loading first few times cleared up and it managed a good install. Its been up and running a while now and I recommend the Karma Karaoke player to all.

I read the other day that someone had a problem with the Karma program after they installed Microsoft updates on Windows 7. They were faffing a bit so it looked like they got really upset about it. Apparently he had to reinstall Karma again. If I am not mistaking this was after deleting the Windows updates. If that is possible :?

This is not the first time its happened for me.
I regularly got the same problems.
Hopefully I have a stable Windows system now and I don't need to reinstall.
Hate all the time wasting on problem solving.
